Alrode, Alberton

Alrode is a thriving industrial node that is located in the south of Johannesburg. It was officially established in 1943 and is arguably one of the largest industrial areas in Gauteng.

There are 3 main stations within Alrode - Alrode station, Mpillisweni station and Natalspruit station with the railway running all the way to Johannesburg. While Alrode isn't known as a shopping destination,  there are a handful of shopping centres and wholesale retailers in the area making it worth the visit.
